“Dripping from Trees”
Dripping from Trees..
sleep falling, cascading..
of whispers that lift
upon raw flavour
of the WindSong
the hiss of foam
echoes through limbs
of palms as they sway
in saline waters, wishes of
the Ocean drying upon
warm breeze and a kiss
laying on a rippling reverie
where once ships
and dark faced men
bespoke discovery
Yea.. into the night,
into the blaque
songs of abalones
dance just beneath
shaded pools of azure
Darkness claims
roots laid bare
pressed between
weathered faces
of ancient stones
and seek out
the remnants from
a ravaged ground
reflecting the pale
distance of the horizon
As the blood fire
deepens the skye
making ready for night
afternoon shades
remember shadows
of another time
when all was the end
of what could be seen
and useless words
of Latin prejudice
with caustic iron crosses
came down upon their necks
yea… that sunset,
a last supper indeed
Aahh …
but, the soughing of the trees
a mysting healing breeze
and we walk slow paths
touching sacred stones,
the inner ancientness
of immortal bone
the smoothing curve
of ageless ArchWays
as we disappear
beyond the beyond
where we see bright colours
blessed earth before us
we walk ‘neath the lean dreams
of Ravens and OldeCrowes
off, deep in the distance
sheltered by relief of palm trees
walking with peace unto
hearth and home
upon the
GhostRoad
……..SoldierBlue
